"STOP THE SILENCE" FOR SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT/PTSD FROM AUTHORITY FIGURES IN NWA

The Issue

I am wanting to create a petition in which Survivors of Sexual Assault/PTSD in Benton and Washington County stop being treated unfairly from this sometimes "unrecognizable and misunderstood" Disease.  I was raped in 2014, held against my will, robbed of under $15,000, had my phone, car keys, and house key stolen, and this person was protected by Law Enforcement (CID's).  Since that nightmare, I have never been the same and Law Enforcement reported it wrong, promised me my protection on recordings (which was illegal), just to find out that the perpetrator had been let out and never was brought to any charges.  I have been raped several times since then and not ONE person that has raped me has been brought to Justice.  There has been evidence"lost", and I have lost several places to live, jobs, multiple miscarriages, and horrific D&C's as a result of the emotional distress that the lack of protection and trauma from these "Authority" figures have caused me.  I have continued to feel unsafe for 4 years now and had a health decline because of it as well.  They have continued to use Harassment, Entrapment, Coercion, and Intimidation tactics to keep me quiet. I've had a Detective question me for 4 hours and deny me Advocacy, which I found out later, once again, was illegal.  I have had police use unecessary and excessive force, pull me over night after night, talked to in an inappropriate manner, and been called "crazy" time and time again, to deflect the fact that they are the ones that are at fault. I have had multiple phones stolen from me where someone would act like me to get my information and use my contacts in the phone to believe it was me.  I know that Benton and Washington Law Enforcement, County Sherriffs Office, Jails, Criminal Investigation Division, Probation and Parole, Narcotics Division, and the use of CID's are 110 percent responsible for trying to keep me quiet, and I know that there is no way that I am the first person that this has happened to.  I have had people (CIDS) record me without my knowledge to use my personal history against me, or to use certain people and history as a weakness.  This has to stop and there has to be a boundary drawn of where the truth lies, and the abuse of power to be able to treat someone that already has PTSD as a result of Law Enforcement's own mistakes, against them to where it makes it impossible to get better.  I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, and have also had my Faith questioned by Authority figures, which once again, now that I have learned my rights, is 110 percent illegal.  I am starting this petition so that there is a change made in my own hometown of Benton and Washington County Arkansas where just because you have a badge, or hold some sort of authority, you do NOT have the right to speak to a Survivor of PTSD in a disrespectful or inappropriate manner.  Where is the boundary? I hope that this petition starts a conversation for what kind of example that we would like to send to the next generation of how this town is run, because I for one, definitely DO NOT want my daughter growing up in a town that I have seen and encountered so much injustice.  It absolutely disgusts me, at the lengths they will go to cover up there mistakes to put them back on you and use your history, health, personal relationships, etc against you just to feel like the bigger "man". I am here to stay that it's time to "STOP THE SILENCE!" I would eventually like to start a Non Profit that supports Rape Victims/Survivors and of PTSD with more accessibility to different therapies, positive outlets, and ultimately, a new understanding and hopefully a law of some kind passed to stop with the corruption I have witnessed in my own town.  I hope this touches someone that has been through this before, and I would just like to say, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
