Remember going to a house party in year 10 and mum let you pick one 4 pack of drinks to take and you were absolutely fizzing at the thought of getting crunk to “Like a G6” by the Far East Movement?

OBVIOUSLY IT WAS PULSE

Pulse came in a 4 pack of 300ml slim line cans (later to be downsized to 250ml) boasting a variety of flavours; sugar free, blue, green, red and correct me if I’m wrong but towards the end of its life, there was also some weird questionable pink can that was released. 

Pulse was the perfect mix of vodka, soda, guarana and a horrific amount of sugar. At 7% per can, it left you buzzing after a night out and you likely didn’t get to sleep for ages. 

It was an absolute party favourite until one day, it disappeared off our shelves and was never seen again.

After being in isolation and  lockdown for almost 4 weeks now, the topic of “things we miss from the outside world” came up and after a lengthy discussion we came to the conclusion that what NZ really needs right now is not more sugar free, carb free alcoholic beverages but something great that will get us through these tough times - that something great needs to be Pulse. 

We are still trying to figure out who this petition needs to get to but please in the interim, sign it and bring back Pulse to our local liquor stores!!!
