Indian Armed Forces should have modern equipment and right to avenge the death of soldiers

The Issue

The Indian Armed Forces serve the country 24*7, on all days of the year, in no matter how adverse the weather conditions may be or how difficult a phase a soldier might be going through. They put all of their efforts in making sure that the rest of the country stays safe, even if that costs them their lives. They stay away from their families for months at a stretch, so that we can live with our families in peace.

Such undeterred hard work deserves respect and reward. None of us are capable of rewarding them with anything, for the cost of peace can not be paid. The only thing we can do for these Patriots is to respect them highly and make their work a bit less cumbersome, by giving them the modern equipment they need and deserve. This will help them fight enemies better and will lead to lesser number of deaths of the Armed Forces' personnel.

The death of a soldier is a loss, not just to the family, but to the nation as a whole. The family losses a part of themselves, maybe a son, a daughter, a father, a mother, or something else. The country losses a child who loved his mother more than his own life, it looses a jewel.

Such a loss must not be left without avenge. The death of a soldier must be avenged in a severe way that the enemy fears to enter the land of India, ever again. There must be some form of punishment for the enemy, who was the cause that the country lost a child. The Armed Forces should be given the right to decide how to avenge the death of their personnel. The step taken by the government in giving the Armed Forces the right to decide about the avenge of the Pulwama attack, and Balakot air strikes is commendable and it should be further implemented on all attacks on the Armed Forces.

These changes will not only help the Army personnel with their work and will help them get the revenge they deserve. It will make them feel that the country knows and tries it's best to fulfill the responsibility towards the lives of those who protect it. It will also reduce the cultural cringe (an internalized inferiority complex that causes people in a country to dismiss their own culture as inferior to the cultures of other countries) among the people of the country. They will start loving their country and will no longer have to think again before calling it strong and just. It will also reduce the number of young people taking to terrorism, both our of fear and due to lack of cultural cringe, which is no doubt, one of the major causes of this transition.

The right to avenge and these modern equipment are ways the country can show its gratitude to the Armed Forces who protect it. Of course, it's not enough, but this little step of ours will make them feel that their sacrifices are not in vain.

All those in positions of power must take a stand on this and help the Army get the right they have been denied to, for so long.
