Jack Kerrigan started this petition to Arsenal Football Club

Following the news that the club plans to make 55 staff members redundant, there are undoubtedly evident levels of hypocrisy on behalf of the senior executives of the club.

This club has put in place values which have survived years upon years of testing and confrontation, and to see these abandoned is as troublesome as it is deplorable.

The club said at the start of this coronavirus campaign that, they were ‘proud and grateful to our players and staff (for agreeing to wage cuts) for pulling together to support our club, our people, and our community in these unprecedented times’. Despite the admirable actions taken by the players, the only apparent guardians of the clubs values in this situation, senior executives have seemingly acted in complete disregard for ‘our people, and our community in these unprecedented times’, giving every support a sense of angst at the morals which the club has depicted.

As transfer business is undoubtedly continued, and agent fees undoubtedly are being paid, the club fails to recognise the guardians which they are for the values inherently attached to the club.

As a reminder to said executives, the fans do not support a business, but rather a community - a family whom seek to champion the club, not pull it down.
