Over a year ago, I stepped back from chasing this down as a law firm allegedly began handling the matter for me after my habeas corpus ruling came down.

That firm is no longer representing me after they decided to cut me off from the only lawyer at their firm I knew and trusted. I have another lawyer interested in the matter, but we haven't locked anything down. He's not even getting calls returned by the previous law firm who has my file.

To not delay the process any further, I reached out to the Citizen's Rep about flaws in my medical file. They put me in contact with the medical records division at the hospital that detained me. Apparently I can request they put a footnote on the file, and that's about it. I'll be exploring the limits of that policy so I can place it before a judge in the future.

I've also reached out to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner. Since the detainment was unlawful, the record of it amounts to a massive privacy violation. I'd like an audit to see how many times it was accessed and how many subsequent files were created in various government departments. Family services and the police are apparently exempt from the audit, but there is quite a bit of evidence that shows they based their actions on it.

I'm still awaiting a call back from the OIPC investigator. She was looking into portions of the Privacy Act that apply. The problem being the legislation may have never contemplated someone unlawfully, and possibly criminally, creating such a twisted situation.

Trying my best to use the system against them, but the other side has essentially all the power, time and money in the world and my resources are limited. I'll continue posting updates as this progresses.

It's been five years now since I started this petition and process. Long time.
