So the only lawyer who knows all about the case was let go by his firm abruptly and with no warning.
The head of the firm has said he's taking on the file, but he's only interest in compensation, not addressing the Charter issues. Told me he didn't think they'd be able to get my medical file fixed.
I also found out that the file hasn't been transferred to the St. John's Supreme Court with a date requested for a status update. Right now it's still stagnant in the Danny Williams building in Corner Brook.
So I contacted the Citizen's Rep, who has a mandate to deal with things like incorrect information in a medical file, which is what is the current issue i've been trying to get corrected.
I'm also going to have to start shopping around for a new lawyer. Not interested in staying with a firm that has dropped the ball on this matter for so long. If you have any suggestions, feel free to offer them. Looking for someone who specializes in Constitutional Law and is licensed to practice in NL.
