ABC 7 NY Crash Report

Petition for the Arrest and Prosecution of Devon M Scuccimarri for the Death of two NJ Residents, not now mentioned at this time for the families privacy, in a Drunk Driving Accident.

We, the undersigned, are writing to formally request the arrest and prosecution of  Devon M Scuccimarri who was responsible for the deaths of  two NJ men in a tragic car accident that occurred on Saturday, October 5 2024 at 0300 hours in the intersection of Rt 1 Linden NJ and S Stiles Avenue

According to police reports and tod screen statements, Devon M Scuccimari was driving under the influence of alcohol and Xanax at the time of the accident. Their intoxicated state, as confirmed by toxicology reports, resulted in reckless and impaired driving that led to the fatal crash, claiming the lives of the two innocent passengers.

UPDATE 10/17/24 08:32

In videos surfacing around social media, it is seen in one of them Video B, Scuccimarri seatbelted in what was the passengers 2013 Infinity, whilst the passenger side was ripped and crushed flat from the back-right corner of the tractor trailer.
Scuccimarri was unharmed besides a few minor abrasions. The passenger and owner of the vehicle, now identified as Ahmad Campbell an alumni of Bound Brook Highschool, was live streaming right before the accident, Video A,  that ended abruptly. Campbell was decapitated in the accident.

The passenger that succumbed to his injuries on the way to university hospital was Melvin Jones of Piscataway NJ

Scuccimarri was seen in late Video B, falling to the side of the road, with a ski mask on being scolded by police for trying to move

This gross negligence and unlawful behavior, driving under the influence of controlled substances, is a violation of both state and federal laws, and we believe it is imperative that justice is served. The families and loved ones of the victims are devastated by this loss and are calling for accountability for these preventable deaths.

Our Request

We respectfully urge your office to take swift action by issuing an arrest warrant for Devon M Scuccimarri ensuring that they are held accountable for the tragic and irreversible harm caused. The severity of this case, where two lives were unjustly lost due to reckless behavior, requires immediate legal action. It is vital to send a strong message to the community that driving under the influence is a serious offense with grave consequences.

The lives of those taken from us in a selfish act cannot be replaced, but their families deserve the justice that would come from holding Devon M Scuccimarri accountable for their actions. We request that you pursue the charges of vehicular manslaughter or any applicable charges related to intoxicated driving and fatalities, ensuring that Mr. Scuccimarri faces the appropriate legal consequences.

We hope you will act promptly and decisively in this matter.
