Many who rent boat slips at the Marina feel it is a safety concern that the entire Marina area is not a “No Wake” zone. Currently the “No Wake” area only extends about 50 to 100 feet from the docks out into the lake. This is not considered a large enough area to help stop the large wakes that are affecting boating at the marina. I have personally almost had my children thrown into the lake and had my boat damaged with the wakes coming in throwing the docks around. I am starting this petition to ask that the “No Wake” zone be extended By the Army Corp of Engineers the entire width of the lake going past the Marina. This will help to make boarding boats much easier and safer for all those who dock at the Yough Lake Marina.
