We the undersigned believe that if President Joe Biden does not cease the war machine that is Israel and institute an arms embargo immediately, there will be less opportunity for VP Harris to earn the votes she will need to win.  The Uncommitted Movement along with others committed to peace are not going to move forward with the Harris/Walz ticket unless they can promise an end to the war and to OUR Tax Dollars being spent on weapons to Israel and not on crucial needs for all US citizens such as housing, healthcare, education, climate action, etc.  We cannot abide by the murderous brutality that the US is funding.  This is a war and we as citizens of the US do not want and will not vote for war.

We know that VP Harris has minimal authority to implement an arms embargo now and over the next 5 months of Biden’s presidency.  Unless Biden can be persuaded that it is in the best interest of democracy and peace to implement an arms embargo now, it is they who are putting our country at risk of fascism.

We implore President Biden to continue to think of the best interests of the Democratic Party and the people of this country.  The fate of this country rests on this.
