Under Virginia law, parents, not the government (nor the CDC or APS), have the fundamental right to make decisions concerning the upbringing, care, and education of their children.

Masking requirement in schools has not provided any measurable or consistent health benefits. However, the universal requirement has inflicted notable developmental delays and emotional harm, physical difficulty breathing, and proven to be impracticable as well as cruel and demoralizing.

Furthermore, many parents do not consent to forced masking, testing or any other forced medical 'prevention' or 'treatment' to receive an in-person education or participate in school sports or other school related activities. These are human rights.

APS does not have parental rights over our children, their medical treatments or preventions, nor do they know what is best for our children. 

This petition acknowledges that Arlington County parents have parental rights to mask or not mask their children, to 'COVID' test or not test their children, to privacy as afforded by law, to all freedoms under law to obtain an in-person education and participate fully without discrimination, retaliation, or other punishments.
