Period products have a ‘luxury’ tax on them making them even more expensive. I believe that if we can spend millions of dollars on our football team we can use money to make period products available in the bathrooms. Not everyone can afford to keep buying a $10 box every month and some people’s periods are irregular and it would be so much easier for girls if these products were accessible. Being in high school is hard enough these days, to look the best, have certain clothes, have a cool phone, while some people can’t afford the nicest things I believe that no one should have to worry about not having period products. I believe if you ask a group of girls if they’ve ever started their period at school and didn’t  have a product with them at least 50% would say yes. Periods already suck enough with the mood swings, cramping, bleeding for multiple days every month, the least we can do is provide products for those in need. I hope to get my school, Martin High School, to add these products to bathrooms and hopefully get other schools to do the same. In most bathrooms there’s a little vending machine on the wall where you could buy a tampon for $0.50 and I don’t believe that they have been restocked in over 15 years.
