HB1570 is a bill that will prohibit healthcare professionals from providing or even referring transgender young people for medically necessary health care. It allows private insurers to refuse to cover gender-affirming care for people of any age, not just transgender youth, as well as barring any state funds for gender-affirming health care for transgender people under 18.

It was originally vetoed by Asa Hutchinson, but then the Arkansas Legislation override the veto. 1570 will go into effect this summer.
