I've decided to re-open this petition. Many of you have already signed but as long as BSL exists in the State of Arkansas, I will continue to speak out and condemn it. Monday night I attended a city council meeting in North Little Rock. The meeting opened with a prayer and then we all recited the Pledge of Allegiance. I was proud to recite that Pledge. I'm proud to be an American citizen. But what struck me was the last line, "with liberty and justice for all." North Little Rock and many other cities and towns in Arkansas, however, deny liberty and justice to their residents by holding onto ordinances that are unjust and unconstitutional and that is BSL. Where is the "liberty" when you can't own the dog of your choice? Where is the "justice" when a beloved family pet can be ripped from your home on the basis of someone's personal opinion? Please, be the voice they don't have. Help us win. Call your city council and your state representatives and ask them where they stand. Write letters. Send emails. MAKE SOME NOISE!
