The bass fishing in Arkansas is sub par compared to surrounding states who focus their efforts on largemouth instead of hybrids, stripers, and trout. Arkansas brings in more revenue from bass fisherman due to tournament anglers than we do trout or hybrids. We need more funding and concentration on habitat, forage, and stocking. If this means we need to raise the license fees or even create a black bass stamp then that is fine as long as the money is strictly used for bass only, not including stripers or hybrids. We fisherman have plenty of ideas and are more than willing to help in any way possible in order to get our fisheries on par with surrounding areas.
