As a counter to the petition authored by Joseph Forte Jr’s  “Rename Arizona State Sun Devils to Sun Angels”

First Sparky and Sun Devils is anything but demonic…would a demonic entity excite a crowd or team to victory?  Visit local hospitals, schools, and celebrations to put smiles on people’s faces? 

The Sun Devil and Sparky facilitates the institution in providing scholarships to not just student athletes, but students as well.

‘Sun Angel Foundation”  the group of alumni who raised funds to build the track stadium was given the honor of the stadium being named after them as a group, not as an alternative name.  The Sun Angels changed there name to the Sun Devil Club to remove confusion

Sun Devil and “Sparky” are fictional entities not to be confused as Lucifer.  In some cultures Sun Devil is considered to be a Dust Devil.  In the Hindu religion the Sun Devil fights off the demons of darkness

Lastly, Our petition allows for freedom of choice and is not oppressive to non-Christians.
