Arc’teryx has been designing & innovating great outdoor equipment since 1989. As the brand has continued to grow over the years, so has its popularity. The purpose of this petition is to take a stand against Virgil Abloh who has continued to colonize various cultures and use them to his advantage and gain. Arc’teryx will always continue to focus on their product and we need to let them know that collaborating with Virgil Abloh and people like him will only hurt the culture that Arc’teryx continues to try to protect and value. From sustainability to purposeful action, the fundamental values that Arc’teryx lives through are being compromised when working with someone like Virgil Abloh. Signing this petition helps bring light to the issue, it raises concern for future collaborations with Virgil Abloh and lets the design community know that there is serious dissatisfaction with this collaboration.
