Epic will let other game developers use Fortnite’s cross-platform tools for free.

Epic Games announced that it’s going to offer up the underlying software infrastructure and tools used to run its massive, cross-platform hit Fortnite to other game developers for free. Those tools include the ability to sync a player’s profile and in-game purchases across multiple platforms, to provide cross-platform voice communication, and to allow cross-platform partying and matchmaking, among other features.

Its 2019 moving into 2020, the idea of cross platform gaming is long overdue for us consumers. Games like Rocket league as well as 1 or 2 other games are fully Cross platform. Streetfighter 5 allows Ps4 players to play with steam players.

Fantasy Strike which has  just been released yesterday is also a title that allows for costumers/ Consumers to play with one another from via Cross play".

To have a great fighting game these days is not entirely the end all be all.

Dragonball Fighterz is a fantastic game which I personally own it on both Steam as well as Ps4 with all the DLC on both.

But still it can be hard to find matches sometimes on either system. Having the option to include both steam PS4 and Xbox one opponents would be a breath of fresh air that we all need. This combined with a 3rd season of DLC including Characters, Music and Stages is something that should be done for sure.

Some of us consumers can only afford to have just one console while we may not have the same console as our friends or family members. Having Cross Platform play would be a sign from Arc System of good faith in their own creation. A confidence that can only be gained by creating Titles such as DBFZ and making it possible to play without limits and without boundaries.
