Chicken Soup sent me a very strong email today. Here are some of the basics of the email. 1.) We will not publish this title. 2.) We decline your offer (for the unconditional pizza paRTy) 3.) Please take down the www.change.org page asking people to sign a petition to support your request to co-author a book with us. That is not going to happen My NEW updates: 1.) A better publisher will pick up our book! We’ve marked Chicken Soup off of our list of publishers because they obviously do not validate what we, Recreational Therapists do. We are not in the process of seeking a second publisher. As you know, I had met Jack Canfield (the co-creator of the Chicken soup books). His team was excellent and they had given me a packet to submit for book proposals. Our book project is going to take their path as our plan B and we still have a lot of letters in the alphabet. 2.) I’ve cancelled the unconditional pizza party at their request. I’m not sending them anything. 3.) We’ve changed our change.org petition. We are no longer asking them to publish our book because we are seeking “A better publisher” for our “Recreational Therapy” book project! Which we will find one. Your friend, danny.
