We are a group of devoted theatre students who have been fortunate enough to have Miss Spang serve as our substitute teacher. Despite her initial lack of expertise in theatre, Miss Spang has dedicated herself to learning and nurturing our passions with a radiant, soft, and kind personality that we've all come to love. Her uplifting presence and unending enthusiasm have been instrumental in shaping our school's drama department. The thought of her departure is a devastating blow to us all.

According to a study by the University of Cambridge, teachers with empathy and a high level of emotional intelligence, much like Miss Spang, contribute positively towards their students' academic success and mental health (Cambridge, 2015). It’s not only about the subject knowledge; the emotional connection is what we value most in an educator.

We believe appointing Miss Spang as the permanent drama teacher would be a decision that will greatly benefit our theatre program. We need someone who understands the art, and more importantly, understands and cares for us.

Therefore, we urge the administration of our school to seriously consider our plea to hire Miss Spang as our new drama teacher.
