Apply to Attorney General for undue-leniency for David Crawford Killing

The Issue

On the evening of 12th may 2022, my dad, David Crawford, went out for a motorcycle ride with some friends from his motorcycle club. On his way home, my dad was deliberately targeted by three men who were members of another local motorcycle club. All three had colluded with each other and this resulted in my dad being deliberately run over by a van driven by Benjamin Parry and being dragged along the road to his death. The three men involved were later arrested and charged with murder. However, at their Crown Court Trail, the jury found all three guilty of manslaughter on the grounds of joint enterprise. They were then held on remand and on the 13th January 2023 at Exeter Crown Court, Mr Justice Neil Granham sentenced them as follows.

Benjamin Parry got 12yrs, Chad Brading 4 years and Thomas Pawley 4 years. Mr Justice Neil Granham added that all three would only serve two thirds of their sentence in prison and the remainder would be served on licence.

During the police investigation, it was found that all three men were in active communication leading up the the crime and during the time that they committed their hideous crime. Dash cam footage, taken from the van driven by Parry, shows a Mercedes (driven by Pawley which had Brading as a passenger) stop my dad on a slip road leading to the A38 in Plymouth. the footage shows the Mercedes move away from my dad, immediately before Parry is seen driving at speed straight towards my dad, ploughing into him and subsequently dragging him to his death along the road. All three men left my dad dead in the road, cold and alone. Parry later factory reset his mobile phone, Brading said he had lost his mobile phone, and both Pawley and Brading were seen on door bell footage removing various weapons from the Mercedes.

I feel that the sentences passed by Mr Justice Neil Granham are far too lenient for the horrific crime they committed. I call on you all, if you also believe that this sentence is far too lenient, to now stand with me to appeal this sentence.
