Where is the African American (Pan-African) flag emoji?

The Issue

Today as society we have become more aware of inclusion and equality than ever before. One of the key elements that will help our society on the road to full equality is "representation". It is great to see that most people have representation through texting and social media "flag emojis". Not everyone will admit it, but emojis have been embedded into our everyday lives as a form of communication and they aren’t  going anywhere soon. Yet, there seems to be one demographic that has been ignored, the African American (Pan-African). Where is the African American (Pan-African) flag emoji? Was this group, that represents 15% of the U.S. population, left out on purpose or were these platforms simply not aware of its existence? African Americans (Pan-Africans) deserve and demand to be recognized on both Apple and Android platforms. -Jeff Wells
