Today I’m here with what I believe to be an injustice and an infringement on our happiness as a people. It really hurts me that there isn’t a possum emoji. They’re cute and misunderstood. I believe that they deserve to have the recognition they deserve via being immortalized and represented through emojis. There is an ant emoji, yet no possum emoji, which I believe is, quite frankly, ridiculous. Please join me in advocating for our beloved trash friends, the possum. This needs to change. Imagine how cute the possum emoji would be. It would fit right in with the otter clutching a little rock (�), or the monkey that’s just chilling (�). I’d like you all to really think about the world we live in today. Will the possum emoji cure the corona virus? Will it fix our nations crippling debt? Both of these answers are no, however, do not think for a second that it will not benefit us as a people. What gets us through these hard times, when it feels as though nothing will ever be the same or get any better? The answer, my friends, is the small things. It’s the small things that get us out of bed when nothing else will, it’s the small things that make us smile when it feels there’s nothing happy left around us. And I strongly believe that having a possum emoji would achieve just that. It would be another happy thing to look at when scrolling through your emojis that you absolutely never use. Not only that, the possum emoji could speak for so much more, if used correctly. Even more, the possum, a misunderstood group, deserve to be loved and understood.
