Using the 2019 MacBook Pro with touch bar (a2159) or later under normal conditions over time, the laptop may start to show the following issues:

1. Display flickering: This shows random flickering pink lines and bars when you open the lid to a certain degree.
2. Backlight shutdown: Over time the flickering turns to a complete display blackout.

Both issues are caused by a fractured display cable due to its poor design or quality.

Most of the users suffer from this issue after the 1-year warranty period. And the number of reports increases day by day.

There is no way to replace the cable apart as it soldered to the LCD. and Apple is forcing the unlucky customers to pay Rs.47,000 for a whole display replacement.

Apple is providing free service for models which are sold between 2016 to 2017. But the issue still persists in later models.

We kindly request Apple to launch an extended warranty program addressed to this issue as soon as possible.
