For far too long, we have been deprived of honoring those that serve in the various branches of military for our countries through emojis in day to day life on social media. These men and women fight selflessly for their people and they deserve to AT LEAST be acknowledged through a simple emoji. We have police officer, firefighter, vampire, doctor, chef, superhero, witch, and even rocker emojis. From our research, it appears that Unicode Consortium seems to be the provider of these emojis. We have also tagged Apple and Google assuming they also have the power to make something happen for the wonderful men and women that make up each of our armed services. This would be such an easy addition to the current roster of emojis that our devices already contain. Honestly, it is baffling that Unicode hasn’t already added armed service emojis to its wide and growing selection. We will stand for this no longer! So many of us are either serving already or have loved ones that are and wouldn’t you just love to be able to have a little emoji to help remind you of their sacrifices and dedication? Us too! This is why we are bringing this long needed petition to the public. Our troops not only defend us but they defend the very companies that are ignoring them! Do the right thing and sign our petition today, don’t let the troops down!
