Our next Milestone & Action Plan with your Support while Signature count reaching Milestone of 10000

Dear friends,
Thanks for your overwhelming support for this petition. 
In only ten days, more than nine thousand (9137 and counting) fellow humans signed the petition expressing their profound concerns about Jadavpur University's Academic Freedom and Autonomy.

Meanwhile, we are discussing the next logical steps on this petition. We have received a few proposals on what should be our action plan to take this petition to its next level of impact.
We request each of you to provide suggestions on our possible action plans because we do not want to remain passive just by raising an online petition and sharing it with the Chancellor, rather we would like to achieve a real tangible outcome for JU and all stakeholders.

I would earnestly request you to share the petition to further (department, chapter, home, work and so on...) as well as follow up with persons who you already shared with so that we may soon reach our current milestone of 10,000 signatures and eventually the next milestone of 20,000 signatures and beyond. If they are JU alumni, kindly request them to join this google group as well to expand this jualumni forum that was established more than 25 years ago in 2002. While we have garnered a large alumni support already, we are yet to get signatures of all prominent and progressive JU alumni and hence request your support to connect with JU alumni who are well-established and well-respected in their respective professional domains in India and abroad.

I noticed with pride that 59 members promoted the petition by making financial contributions (that goes to change.org for advertisements). I would like to inform everybody that we are not actively looking for funds unless any need arises in the future. Instead, I would like to remind everybody to leverage and to support JU Alumni Cell which was established in December 2022 by JU Executive Council.

Thanks again for your continued support for this petition to make JU a real centre of academic freedom and excellence upholding the sacrosanctity of Scientific Temper, irrespective of formal IoE (Institutions of Eminence) recognition.
I earnestly look forward to hearing from each of you and working together so that we achieve expected success of this critical petition by the JUites, for the JUites & of the JUites because it is an idea whose time has come!
