Appeal Court Colorado Demand a Fair Retrial for Henry Lee Griffin III /Self-Defense

The Issue

Henry Lee Griffin III, a 26-year-old man with no criminal record, has been unjustly convicted in Colorado's 18th Judicial Court.  WE NEED SIGNATURES FOR SUCCESS!!!!!

His first trial ended in a mistrial after three weeks of deliberation by the jury. However, his second trial was marked by irregularities that raise serious questions about the fairness and integrity of the proceedings.

The jurors took only one day to deliberate before reaching their verdict, and during this time they heard evidence unrelated to Henry's case for 20 minutes in Spanish. Misconduct from Arapahoe County prosecutors and a trial judge's refusal to provide key jury instructions regarding "Self-Defense" in this unusual circumstance casts doubt on whether the verdict was based on actual evidence or other factors.

Henry's case is not just about him but reflects broader issues within our justice system that need urgent attention. According to data from The National Registry of Exonerations (2019), false convictions are far more common than we'd like to believe, with over 2,400 people exonerated since 1989 after serving an average of nine years in prison.

In light of these facts and given the irregularities observed during his second trial, we demand a fair retrial for Henry Lee Griffin III where all evidence can be properly examined without any external influences or distractions.

We believe that such a retrial would reveal that he acted in "Self-Defense" rather than committing First Degree murder as he has been accused which is punishment for "Life Without the Possibility of Parole" in a Colorado Correctional Facility.

We call upon you to join us in advocating for justice for Henry Lee Griffin III, a now 28-year young man, father of two, community advocate with a love for his spiritual practices and his family.

When in a heated debate Henry has almost always adopted a conciliatory approach, aiming to find common ground always not, "VIOLENCE".  By signing this petition today, you give voices to the injustice of many!
