Forcing students to learn new content they have never seen before on their own without the guidance of a proper teacher is harmful. We are in the middle of a pandemic and to add onto that stress because of the complaints of a few individuals who are NOT enrolled in the course is unnecessary. The students enrolled in Algebra 2 would like to have instructional videos provided by the teacher as opposed to being self taught. Please listen the concerns of the people who are actually actively participating in the class rather than the concerns of a mere onlooker. Our teacher has been helpful, but in no way spoon fed us through this course. It has been difficult regardless of the fact that we had background knowledge of this unit. Imagine how much more challenging it will get now that we do not have any background knowledge on our newest topics. Please do not make more failing grades than there already are. This is a time for leniency and compromise, so help us.
