Nala the Power Pup

Nala the Power Pup
The Issue
A few days ago my aunt introduced my family to these two puppies that she was fostering. Their names are Simba(boy) and Nala(girl). Needless to say, we all fell in love immediately. After talking more about them and doing research me and my sister were hoping to adopt one since we couldn't afford both. If we were to get one, we would adopt the girl who is much calmer and prefers snuggles over anything. We've got everything figured out financially from pee pads to vet care, but now we have the struggle of convincing the parents to sign the papers. The only problem is that as more time passes the closer they are to being sold and the more my parents want to say no.
We already have a super old dog named Mollie who can't do most things and whenever we try to walk her, she refuses to go past the porch. She's never had a friend so getting this puppy would give her a bit of life and a boost of energy that is much needed.
Not only is getting another dog good for Mollie, but it's also good for the family. When our aunt brought them over we were all together, not arguing and we were happy. That's something I haven't witnessed in a long time! You also might think "well they're expensive-" but my sister and I just got new jobs and aren't going to make our parents pay for any of it. We've also created a list with prices of everything they'd need and we can cover it. So essentially they'd be getting a free puppy and who doesn't want that?
My last point is responsibilities. Our parents want to say no because they don't think we'll take care of it and that it's simply a bad time. Yes, I'll admit there are quite a few reasons to say no but there are also more reasons to say yes. We're getting a new couch and they're worried about the puppy teething, scratching, and shedding. Simple solutions to simple problems though- buy chew toys, keep their nails trimmed, and lint rollers. I wanted to go to the beach for my birthday but I'm willing to give up the trip to stay home and give the dog as much attention and exercise as it requires. My sister also works at a doggy daycare and they said we could bring it for free if we ever needed to so we don't have to worry about work schedules interfering with care.
Now that you have all of the details, I hope you will sign this petition to help convince my parents to let us give this puppy the chance at a better life. (PS. If you help out and sign I'd also let you play with it some time so it also benefits you!)
