Saving the Rebel mascot at Franklin County High School!

Saving the Rebel mascot at Franklin County High School!
The Issue
Removing the Franklin County High School mascot will not solve a national crisis. As everyone is faced with the current situation in American which is police brutality! The issue became a national and worldwid cry for change in the justice system after George Floyd was wrongful injured to the point of losing of his life. There many factors which can bring about government change such as petitions for policy changes for the justice system nationwide. The most local and recent plea for a change consists of Franklin County High Schools' Rebel mascot to be changed. There are many reasons this is not fighting the current national situation below is two reasons.
The first and most obvious is in question. How exactly is changing this local schools mascot going to bring stronger police policies? The answer is easy it will not. While it will bring local attention to an educational institution and mascot completely innocent of current national affairs. It fails to be a petition that brings reform to local police policies. If Franklin County want to support a stronger system to protect individuals from injustice there must a better thought-out plan. Secondly, the high school is not where the police brutality took place. As, early stated even if the injustice happened at this specific high school how would a mascot change fix the real issue? Please take a minute or several to consider such an indirect subject to the real issue in America.
This petition is to keep the current mascot at Franklin County High Schools. In support of national justice, this community should look towards the government for strong police policies. Signing a small petition to remove an innocent educational establishments mascot leads everyone away from the major crisis in America.
Please sign this petition in support of leaving the local high school mascot out of this national crisis. The Rebel man has nothing to with police brutality.
