Anti Child Labor

The Issue

Child Labor

Never use your children as a form of investment that will pull you out of your troubles.

Child labor is defined as employment that compromises the opportunities, and right to education of children, as well as work that is hazardous to their bodily and/or mental development. Child labor can be physical, mental, social and extreme forms of employment performed by children aged 15 to 18 are also called child labor.

The future of our country, according to Dr. Jose Rizal, depends on how young people are taught morals and values. Due to their belief that money can be easily acquired through employment, children in today's generation are being prevented from attending school. Everyone has to be reminded that children should be sent to school and should not be made to work in order to increase awareness of the problem of child labor. Child labor is when minors are used as a labor force while being denied their basic rights. It can be having the chance to enjoy their youth, go to school on a regular basis, feel at ease, and live a respectable life.

It may also refer to the practice of using kids as a source of income. Child work is sometimes characterized as employment that subjects kids to tasks that are physically, psychologically, morally, or socially hazardous and destructive. Children under the age of 18 typically pursue a variety of professions to support themselves and avoid becoming hungry. That is immoral and unfair at the same time. When the younger generation has a strong basis for success, the future is much brighter.

As a student, I also have some friends that is working at their young age. They work because of financial problems and providing their needs that their parents can't do for them.

The solutions that I propose are to have family planning, which should begin with the parents thinking about their child's future since we should not pass the responsibility to our children. Their main obligation at this age is to study until they graduate, and work deprives them of their youth. We should also improve the standard of our education; nowadays, many people do not respect education, so we should focus on providing them with the quality education that everyone deserves, as well as encouraging them that we have many choices in our lives. We also have the Child Labor Act, which protects children and protects them from being abused. Children should enjoy their childhood and receive the finest education possible
