Petition Closed

We are coming together in the belief that public petition and investigative journalism can make a difference in the lives of real people in our community. Together we can give a man, Bobbie Morman Jr, his life back.

Bobbie Morman Jr. is in prison for a crime that another man admitted to committing directly to the judge.  He has been serving a 48 year sentence since 1994. 20 years after the sentencing the local news has made a public investigation, including reviews of the court transcripts and an interview with the individual who admitted to the crime. Now after failed appeals, the best option for Bobbie Morman Jr. is to ask for a pardon from the Virginia Governor, Terry McAuliffe.

I started this petition because the Morman family was a part of my childhood neighborhood, Norvella Heights in Norfolk, VA. My family has witnessed the pain and suffering of the Morman family for so long that we can no longer stand idling by.
