The Cozmo robot, which is a fun, high-quality learning tool and playmate for mastering the basics of computer science (specifically the Python programming language and logic principles), depends on direction from the app to the point where the robot is completely unusable without it.

Although the app is intuitive and well-designed for sighted individuals, it is totally inaccessible to the blind and visually impaired community. If a blind user attempts to access the app via text-to-speech software such as VoiceOver or Talkback, it is comparable to a sighted person poking at a blank screen.

There are many accessible apps, but there is a major shortage of accessible computer science apps, which makes it far more difficult for blind people to learn computer science skills.
