Humane education encourages both kindness and empathy for both human and non-human animals. It does this by infusing the curricula at all levels of education with meaningful information and tools for creating a safe and humane world..

It helps prevent violence and encourages students to apply  concepts of respect and kindness toward animals in their own lives.  It provides student understanding of current and past social justice movements   It empowers students to believe that they can make a difference in their communities and the world around them

 Humane Education offers training that helps break the cycle of violence that is rampant throughout the world.

Within the last thirty years, modern science has consistently demonstrated a link between animal cruelty and the abuse of humans. Conversely, recent studies reveal that children who experience the companionship of an animal show greater acceptance of people with characteristics different from their own both during childhood and as adults.
