For example, the kindergarten have 245 learning competencies in line to K-12 Curriculum while in MATATAG Curriculum their learning competency will be only 46 which is a good news to everyone. This new MATATAG Curriculum avoids students to handle many lesson and also to cope up to all eight subjects together.

Prior to the phased implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum starting SY 2024-2025, the Department of Education (DepEd) is conducting the pilot implementation in reference to DM 54, s. 2023 or the Pilot Implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum.

The focus of MATATAG Curriculum is focusing on religious and values wherein this would be the greatest advantage of MATATAG Curriculum against the K-12 Program.
the MATATAG curriculum focusing on social and religious values while `The ability to develop students' potential and independence, as well as their ability to live in a pluralistic society.

K-12 Curriculum was firstly implemented during the school year  2011-2012. Based on the findings of  Department of Education, K-12 curriculum have three finding reviews.
1. The K-12 curriculum content is congested
2. There is a misplace prerequisite learning competency
It has an imbalance cognitive cognitive demand
3. This stated that the K-12 curriculum is not effective to the students. It only gives them a slow process of education to all students making them to face difficult ways of coping to the curriculum.
