Stop Telstra Penalising Customers for Paying

Stop Telstra Penalising Customers for Paying
The issue
Telstra customers moving to the NBN are being forced to pay an extra $3.20 per month for not receiving or paying their bill electronically. This is NOT a penalty for failing to pay. It is a penalty for HOW they pay.
Four vulnerable groups are being unfairly targeted by this:
- people receiving pensions
- older people who have never used and do not own a computer
- low-income people who have never used and do not own a computer
- unemployed people who have never used and do not own a computer
Many pensioners, older, low-income and unemployed people will not have an internet connection when they move their old telephone service to the NBN, have never used and do not own a computer.
Telstra is imposing a penalty for paying on time on four poor and vulnerable groups who cannot or do not want to do transactions electronically.
Sign if you agree that Telstra must immediately desist in this this unfair and unacceptable policy which impacts the most vulnerable and poor segments of the Australian population.
