ANDREW P. SUH: Please support my clemency bid for a second chance in life

The Issue

“My name is Andrew Prince Suh. I am an inmate in the Illinois Department of Corrections. I was convicted of murder, sentenced to 80 years in prison and have spent the last 20 years locked away in this 5X9 metal cage.

Many years ago, I was an emotionally damaged boy who was manipulated and ultimately betrayed by the woman who was my surrogate mother. I have been lost amid this chaos for so many years but I am no longer this damaged naive boy. I am a mature man who has come to terms with the bitter truth of my existence. I am guilt ridden and remorseful for my actions. I am trying to make amends with the world. I see redemption and I pray you will find me worthy and find the courage to assist me in my time of need.

I am remaining hopeful for a second chance in life.”

As of today, Andrew is tentatively scheduled to be paroled in the year of 2035, more than 22 years from now. With your help, if we can convince the Governor of Illinois Pat Quinn, that Andrew is worthy of redemption and that his sentence of 80 years was excessive, Governor Pat Quinn can grant Andrew EXECUTIVE CLEMENCY in the nature of a commutation and reduce his sentence by any amount he sees fit.
