New York state is one of the highest populated states in the union. we have some of the highest diversity in all of America! and New York State is home to Americas largest city New York city! so why is it that a state so UNIQUE, not have a unique flag to go with it. When looking at the flag of New York State and comparing it to the  states around us, all the flags are almost identical! the flag of New York State is nether appealing or distinguishable from the flags of the states around us! it time that New York State Joins the club of well designed flags such as Texas, California, and South Carolina... and shows it self off apart from the states around us. According to the North America Vexillological society, flags that follow the seal on a bed sheet model or (SOB) are considered to be some of the worst designed flags in all of North America! the current flag of New York State falls under this category. The seal of the State belongs on paper documents where it can be easily read, not on a flag that is  blowing in the wind. lets face it the flag of New York State was a lazy design made by State politicians who were to lazy to create a recognizable and simple design. I've lived in New York State my entire life, and it saddens me that a state so unique has such an ugly flag. why is it that states like Texas, South Carolina, Alabama, California all has such well designed flags with history and meaning behind them while the flag of New York State doesn't . Texans flag their flag because they are proud of it! Californians wear their flag be cause the love it! but you don't see that with the flag of New York State. lets fight for a better represented New York State!!!!!!!!!!
