Beloved Pine River Valley communities, 

We come to you with an urgent request for help. As you know, the Bayfield School District has decided to sell the property that has been home to numerous community services and nonprofit organizations for many years. In response, Pine River Shares and the Community Treehouse decided to join forces in an attempt to purchase the property, with our vision of a Pine River Community Resource Center filled with community-serving organizations at the forefront of our minds.

We submitted our best offer to purchase the property. Our pathway to ownership includes a combination of grant funding, capital campaign, and property income, with the full amount paid off within 3 years. However, we are aware that it is NOT the most competitive offer under consideration. 

The District has requested that all final offers be submitted by Monday, February 2nd. 

In an effort to make our offer as competitive as possible, we ask for your support in two ways. 

1. Sign and share our online petition supporting the vision of a community resource center as a public-serving entity by encouraging the school board to accept our offer.
2. Call (970-884-6040) or email us (pinerivercrc@gmail.com) with a monetary pledge to assist with the cash-up-front to accompany our offer by Monday. There are numerous options including gifts, loans, Donor Advised Funds, etc.
