Boycott Sony Spider-Verse If Spider-Man Is Not In MCU

Boycott Sony Spider-Verse If Spider-Man Is Not In MCU
The Issue
SONY Pictures has made it abundantly clear that they are only in it for the money.
Even after banking most of the profit off of the last two SPIDER-MAN films, both of which were produced by MARVEL STUDIOS (not SONY), they have refused to work out more fairly balanced financial terms for a new deal to share the famed Stan Lee character. They were content to allow Marvel to do the bulk of the heavy lifting in making the most recent, successful Spidey films, only to give them a five-percent share of profits.
SONY's inability to ensure that fans who made all of that profit possible will continue to enjoy the famed web-slinger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is an affront to Marvel Comics fans of all ages. Stan Lee's creation deserves to be experienced in the infinitely larger MCU, just as he has in comics for decades, not secluded to his own universe where the Avengers do not exist, much less the Fantastic Four or any mutants.
We [the FANS] should band together to let SONY know that we do not want this outcome. We are willing to boycott their Spider-related films, if need be, should they fail to work out a new deal with MARVEL STUDIOS.
Without a new deal, fans will never get a SPIDEYPOOL crossover on the big screen. We'll never see Peter Parker working alongside Reed Richards. We won't get to see Spider-Man battle with Kingpin or cross paths with SHIELD or Doctor Strange again. And, without Marvel Studios on board, everything that has been done on the big screen with Tom Holland up to this point will have been a gigantic waste of time and money, for all parties involved—studios, talent, and fans.
SONY needs to work WITH Marvel, and the only way to ensure that they do is to threaten their bottom line. Therefore, we should stand in solidarity, to let them know that we are willing to withhold our money from their films should they not acquiesce.
