We, the undersigned are concerned residents who urge you to deliberate based on the best interests of the students and their families, based on the school performance indicators and the school's proven operational success and clean financial audits. OPA has restored and upgraded a previously neglected and abandoned school that had deteriorated into a public nuisance and eyesore to a safe and happy academy of learning and source of pride. At no additional cost to the taxpayer, OPA has become one of the highest performing schools in San Bernardino County. Politics, professional envies, and innuendo should never have been the basis for a determination on whether to renew OPA's charter. The only legitimate issue is whether OPA is a successful place of learning. Any other concerns are secondary and can be addressed by further inquiry or additional charter conditions. Please allow OPA to continue as a public school choice where all students can succeed. Do not close the doors on one of the highest performing schools in San Bernardino County

We ask that the San Bernardino County Board of Education engage in a fair, open and fully informed process as it considers the appeal filed by the OPA Chino Valley. We urge it to focus on the best interests of the students, their families and the community based on the school’s performance proven operational success and five years’ worth of clean financial audits. We also urge the SBCBOE to give OPA Chino Valley administrators adequate time to answer any questions that have been raised about the school’s operations or finances, and to consider these questions secondary to the school’s record as one of the highest performing elementary schools in San Bernardino County.
