This petition is gaining momentum and needs a few more pushes from friends, fellow parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers, sport lovers, fans and others to make an impact that we can show to Minneapolis Public Schools that we are watching, we care and their decisions without imput and thought of the community they are serving impact the "whole " picture. We are at 100 signatures and can always use more! People, teachers, administrators and students are seeing and commenting on an increase in violance, agressive behaviors and kids with more idle time, which we all know can lead to problems on many levels. Please urge your networks to sign and comment if they wish to the petition to make a strong case for asking for Sports put back in Middle Schools, k-8 and charters. The MPS board needs to hear that they have done damage in enrollment rather then increase growth with doing taking sports away. We have had the year to see the outcome and it is not good! It failed! Students in Minneapolis Public Schools need and an outlet to participate and belong and that is just one thing sports is a vehicle for.
