Return The Good Night Show and Other Quality Programming to Sprout

Return The Good Night Show and Other Quality Programming to Sprout

The Issue

Sprout, a television station purportedly committed to providing toddlers and preschoolers with quality programming, recently and without warning, pulled the Good Night Show - including many the most beloved programs with it - from its schedule.  Many parents, grandparents, and caregivers trusted the Sprout Network for quality programming and the Good Night Show, in particular, as a fun, educational, and relaxing way for families to wind down together with Nina and Star.  Scores of toddlers and children, including those with special needs, relied on Sprout and the Good Night Show, as an essential part of their bedtime routines.  After nearly 9 years of the Good Night Show, with Nina and Star helping children read stories, learn to clean up, brush their teeth and stretch, they were gone without any warning.  In its place were Sprout original shows, including the Jungle Bunch, which lacks any educational value and features violence as part of normal "play."

This move came just days after the hiring of Amy Friedman as head of programming.

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers want Sprout to return the Good Night Show to its line up and give toddlers an age-appropriate, soothing, and pleasant way to help close out the day. What made Sprout different (and better) than other channels was its commitment to quality shows with quality messages. Trying to mimic other stations and present obnoxious programming with little educational value is not going to gain you any viewers. They already have their channels.

Your viewers and their families are counting on you to do the right thing!
