Repurchase the windows that were seized and sold as a result of project 1012. Sell them to new, responsible owners and grant them brothel licenses so that they can once again be rented to sex workers.

The Issue

Sex workers need a place to work that's sufficiently safe so that they aren't forced behind the scenes into a dangerous environment. The city government used the excuse of human trafficking in seizing windows and even gave many over to placeholders selling "art" and "fashion" for some time. What the city government failed to realize is that human trafficking is nearly nonexistent in the Red Light District. Moreover by closing windows the city government forced sex workers into other environments that are much harder to regulate. It's time to make a stand, cancel the city's project 1012, and sell the windows to new owners so that they can once again be rented to sex workers. It's also time to start a new campaign to fight against the stigma sex workers face in everyday life. The city has sold some of the windows to others but that does not mean they cannot be repurchased. It does not mean that the city cannot right the wrongs that came about as a result of project 1012. Nothing is impossible. Not one single thing. The world is watching.
