I am an Indigenous person. I have experienced numerous struggles tied to our unique identity and heritage. Yet, often, the broader society is unaware of the depth and complexity of these issues. Indigenous peoples constitute only about 6.2% of the world's population (UN, 2019), and yet we face distinct set of challenges that often remain unheard and unaddressed. I am writing this petition not only to share my own experiences but to raise collective awareness around the obstacles faced by indigenous communities globally.

This petition seeks to create a space where Indigenous Peoples can share their stories, hardships, and triumphs and inspire others while benefiting from support within the community. We aim to foster a sense of openness and understanding, where learning from each other will not only bond us, but also enlighten those outside of our heritage.

By amplifying indigenous voices, it is believed that recognition, understanding, and ultimately, helpful changes can be made. This is an opportunity to celebrate our unique cultures, address common misconceptions and prejudices, and promote inclusivity, equality, and unity.
