Saudi activist Loujain al-Hathloul currently imprisoned for over a year for driving a car over the Saudi border.  She is being detained, tortured, for standing with other women against the law of Male Guardianship. Her personal courage and tremendous efforts in the struggle for women's rights in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia has now landed her in prison. She has been in prison for over a year, do to peacefully driving a car in protest to allow women to drive in this region. This arrest contradicts a new modern liberal kingdom that Prince Mohammed is trying to paint in the west. Women in this region as well would like not to be under Male Guardianship. Male guardianship does not allow women to make basic decisions like health care, travel, even owning a Passport without the permission from a man. All women are owned and answer to a Male Guardian in this region of the Middle East. Women are protesting this law as well as Loujain peacefully.
