With the overturning of Roe v Wade today (6/24/2022) a trigger law restricting abortion in the State of Missouri has been put into effect. Access to an abortion is guaranteed under the laws of Reform Judaism and any restriction on abortion is a violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States for denying the Jewish people to engage in a core aspect of our religion. As such, The American Foundation for the Protection Of the Rights of the Jewish People is collecting signatures for a lawsuit to challenge the constitutionality of this law in the State of Missouri.
