Greg Thatcher runs a website that publishes bank routing numbers, the nine digit numbers appearing at the bottom of US checks that identify the issuing bank. Thatcher received an absurd copyright takedown notice from the American Bankers Association claiming the ABA owns copyright to routing numbers.
