I’m a 7th grader in america becoming even more scared everyday. I recently saw a documentary about a school shooting of a little girl about my sister’s age. I then saw a “inspiring” video with the title “everything is an sign”. I began to cry realizing this could happen to me OR my sister. TO ANY CHILD IN THE U.S. Every child is at stake. We are expected to hide under desks as protection. One of my teachers even suggested to “throw shoes at the shooter”. This is the only form of defense we have. The legislative branch has the option to change our second amendment, to take away the right for any to bear arms which is the reasoning for this petition. Bearing arms may have been a good idea then, but now innocent children are tormented for absolutely no reason other then for fun. We need to protect our schools!!
