Amend Parking Rules 21 and 23 at Briar Bank Park, Wilstead

Amend Parking Rules 21 and 23 at Briar Bank Park, Wilstead
The Issue
The residents of Briar Bank Park, primarily aged 50 and over, are faced with a challenge that affects their day-to-day lives in profound ways. The current site rules, specifically rules 21 and 23, severely limit parking options for residents, leading to unnecessary stress and financial burden on a community that primarily consists of pensioners and those dealing with economic challenges not limited to the cost of living crisis.
Rule 21 states: "Parking is permitted for one vehicle per park home" and Rule 23 states: "You must not park anywhere except in the permitted parking spaces". While these rules may have been intended to maintain order within the park, they currently serve to exert financial strain and inconvenience on residents, many of whom are forced to work part or full time due to the national cost of living crisis.
Many residents, including those who are still working, are forced to secure alternative parking solutions that come with additional costs - a burden that could be avoided if Berkeley Parks or the owner of Briar Bank Park exercised some discretion and compassion towards the situation.
Our request is for the site owner of Briar Bank Park, Wilstead to bring about a consultation for the amendment to site rules 21 and 23. A revisal that is not just focussed on maintaining order, but also takes into account the circumstances and well-being of its residents, which could potentially alleviate the stress and financial burden these rules currently cause.
Please support our effort to bring about a fair change by signing this petition.
