Six  years ago , I faced every pet owner's nightmare. My best friend – not just a pet, but a member of my family – had to undergo an emergency surgery that we were unprepared for. In a moment of urgency, the trust I had placed in the veterinary system was thoroughly shaken. The lack of transparency and accountability in this field was evident, and my companion, Ninja the Warrior, bore the brunt of these systemic shortcomings.

This petition aims to amend the outdated 1968 Act 387, known as The Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, to ensure comprehensive regulation within veterinary care across Pennsylvania and the United States of America. The proposed "Ninja the Warrior Law" seeks to enforce detailed record-keeping and improve transparency in veterinary services, ensuring informed decision-making and ethical practices in pet care.

Did you know that veterinary care lacks standardized accountability measures across the nation? Several reports indicate that many pet owners, sometimes unknowingly, face deception and poor practice standards that can result in severe consequences for our pets’ health. According to a study by the American Veterinary Medical Association, only 50% of veterinary practices inform clients of standard procedures and costs unless directly questioned. Such opacity must be addressed.

The "Ninja the Warrior Law" will:
